Nick Cannon is happy as a fox for a reason that we all think we know!  Maybe the rumor is true about Mariah Carey’s pregnancy?  Nick, 29, thinks Mariah, 41, will be the best mom for his soon to come child.  Let congratulate them both even though the rumor might turn out to be untrue!  Source.

Lady Gaga had admittedly claimed that she had used cocaine few times in a year to boost creativeness.  Maybe the songs that we’re listening on the radio of Lady Gaga are the products of cocaine usages.  Nonetheless, if the rumor or not of her admission of cocaine usages is true, the truth is that she has one hell of a talent and her music touch many people’s hearts!  More.

After being home schooled for their whole lives, two older of the three children of Michael Jackson are now attending the exclusive private school known as The Buckley School.  The youngest of the three is still going to be home schooled.  Source.

Bloggiewood Celeb #116 – Stars Who Are Victims Of A Huge Credit Card Scam, Wake Up Everybody, Julia Roberts Clashes With Catholic Church, Wyclef Receives Death Threats, Jennifer Aniston’s Sometimes It’s Not A Choice

Famous movie stars got scammed by a single woman named Maria Gabriella Perez.  Maria Gabriella Perez allegedly spent hundred of thousands of dollars from her clients’ credit cards.  She opened a Salon in Beverley Hills.  Famous people who are named as victims are Jennifer Aniston, Cher, Liv Tyler, Melanie Griffith, Anne Hathaway and Scott Speedman.  More.

Check out a new music video from John Legend & The Roots known as “Wake Up Everybody” featuring Common & Melanie Fiona.

Sometimes movies got put down by religions as certain movie scenes had depicted religions in the bad ways.  Sometimes the people who are running the religions are being overly criticized.  Julia Roberts’ “Eat Pray Love” is experiencing this type of anger!  Catholic Church leaders are angry at how the movie “Eat Pray Love” isn’t capturing the essence of its religion.  Rumor also has that Julia Roberts is converting to Hinduism which enhances the criticisms.  More.

Wyclef Jean is receiving death threat.  It’s unclear who has sent out the death threats against Wyclef, but it’s most likely about his running for the Haitian presidential election.  Wyclef is in hiding and he is not talking much!  More.

Jennifer Aniston responded to Bill O’Reilly’s put down of her when he disliked how she phrased men are optional for raising children.  Her response was that — sometimes it’s not a choice!  More.

Bloggiewood Celeb #115 – Wyclef Jean Runs For President In Haiti, Sandra Bullock Received Teen Choice Award, Emma Thompson’s Rants, Jennifer Aniston Thinks Family Doesn’t Need A Husband, Selena Gomez Dislikes Her Innocent Image

Wyclef Jean is running for president in Haiti, but many people fear he has other motives.  Some people claim he has mismanaged his charity fund.  Others say he is out of touch and has not helped enough Haitians in hard times.  More.

Sandra Bullock received another award!  This time was Teen Choice Award for her work in “The Blind Side.”  Although irrelevant, her winning of this award reminds me of “17 Again (2009).”  Wouldn’t you love to be a teen all over again Sandra?  More.

According to here, it certainly doesn’t look good for Emma Thompson to speak badly about her predecessor Audrey Hepburn, after all she has to do a remake of “My Fair Lady!”  Giving a good word or two for who came before will do only more good, but the way she puts down Audrey Hepburn, many people will think she is just stuck up!  More.

With more Americans feel that starting a family is a burden, it’s no wonder that it’s harder to start a family nowadays.  Celebrities are especially find it hard to start a family!  Jennifer Aniston thinks that starting a family doesn’t mean you have to get a husband!  She is out advertising her new film “The Switch” which has a similar case to her real situation, and her case is that she is still flying solo at 41.  More.

We all know the stories of child actors went bad, saw their careers went down the drains, and some even went to prisons.  Bad boy images and bad girl images aren’t that celebrated but more of the jaw-dropping and short laughs and everyone moves on with their lives quirks, but the bad reputations stick around longer and rise to the surface in untimely manners to destroy certain refuges of the sadden souls.  Therefore, I think entertainer such as Selena Gomez needs to be careful of how she wants other to see her!  After all, she is an entertainer.  Selena Gomez said she dislikes how people think she’s innocent!  In my opinion, talking about acting as if I know it — playing innocent roles all the time on screen may not push an actor/actress to a higher level, it’s all about getting out of one’s comfort zone!  In contrast, I think practicing innocent in real life is actually a good thing!  Selena should not be discontented with her real life’s innocent image, but she should be worried about how to push her career’s boundary!  What do you think?  More.

Movie Review: The Messenger

The Messenger” delivers a powerful message, and it’s about soldiers return home to find even more uncertainties.  Certainly, soldiers who are on tours, they miss home and want to come home, but some soldiers find it hard to fit back into the normal society when they’re back.  “The Messenger” is a well crafted film which gives homage to the returning soldiers.

The story began when an injured Sergeant Will Montgomery (Ben Foster) came home to find himself worked under Captain Tony Stone (Woody Harrelson).  The two became great friends, but Will was struggled to work under Tony as the job was depressive.  Both were out to notify dead soldiers’ families about the death of the soldiers.

Some people may not like “The Messenger” as the film is slow but with subtle, dramatic story.  Ben Foster is accurately delivering a life of a returning young soldier, and Woody Harrelson is not any less awesome in delivering a life of an unstable, old soldier.  The film could be boring to some, but I find it’s very entertaining as it’s very realistic.  Watching the film, I find myself feeling sad and acknowledge that in real life, grieving parents and family members of dead soldiers have to go through even more pains than the fictitious dead soldiers and families in the film for an obvious reason, dead soldiers live on.

In summary, “The Messenger” is a great film.  For being too realistic and slow moving, the film may find less welcome by some people.  Any soldier out there think this film is great?  If not, why?  Love to hear from real soldiers!

The Messenger” was released in 2009.  The film lasts 112 minutes.  The actors are Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton, Steve Buscemi, Jena Malone, Eamonn Walker, Yaya DaCosta, Peter Francis James, and Lisa Joyce.  Oren Moverman is the director for this film.

Movie Review: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Män Som Hatar Kvinnor; Millennium: Part 1: Men Who Hate Women)

“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” (correctly known as Men Who Hate Women in Sweden) is a Swedish thriller which has based on a very popular book written by Stieg Larsson with the same title.  This film is only a part one to a whole three parts of a trilogy, and it was released in 2009.  The film adapts very closely to the first book of a whole trilogy which contains three books in total.  The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the very first book, and the other two books are just as awesome.  The film was able to portrait the characters in the first book very well!  Just so you know, the trilogy is called “The Millennium Trilogy.”

The film (part one of a trilogy) has parts that are not the same as in the book (first book of a trilogy), and the director probably had done so to condense the film and to create more excitements.  Nonetheless, the film is still long as it lasts for 152 minutes.  I’m glad the film lasts this long, anymore shorter the film may leave out too many essential parts and the whole trilogy may not make sense.  I have to say I’m glad that I had read the book before I had watched the film, because it makes so much more sense when you know the back story.

Some people may not appreciate the film as much as I do when they don’t know the back story, and for that they may question such as why Lisbeth Salander was brutally raped and why she had such a vengeful personality and why the film showed Lisbeth threw flammable liquid onto a man and burned him with fire.  They may question all that since the main story is about unsolved murder cases, but those puzzled irrelevant scenes in the film take up much wasted times of the film; I assure you those scenes are necessary for the trilogy very much, and it can only make more sense when one gets to see the parts near the end of the whole trilogy!  For the people who have not yet read the whole trilogy and may want to see the whole three films to complete a movie trilogy, I stay vigilant and hold back the answers to many questions of the film(s) and the book(s).  You my friend, have to find out the answers for yourself.

The actors are excellent!  When I speak about actors, I include actresses.  Actors are able to convince me they are the same characters as in the books.  I love the main actor Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace)!  The way she dresses and pierces her face and a big dragon tattoo on her back and her manly combed hair and a general tomboy look, everything makes her turns into a Lisbeth Salander in the book!  Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) is no less exciting as he’s an average size man, much bigger than Lisbeth Salander and much older, but he has the curious looks that make his character to question things — it’s his personality that moves the story forward.  Other supporting actors play their roles without hitches.  Besides the believable acting, the film has moments of thrills such as when Blomkvist are in dangers of getting shot at and so on.

How can a film go without love making scenes right?  I’m sure there are great films without the need of love making scenes, but this film has to have those scenes.  Those scenes are in the film to show the relationship between characters, and the film does follow the book closely.  This film definitely is not for kids.  Some sex scenes are not normal sex scenes, but these scenes portrait rapes and dark stuffs.  There are normal sex scenes, and these are the sex scenes between Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist.  Any film with any sex scene is not suitable for kids, and so you have been warned!

In short, the film “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is about a journalist who failed to accuse a business man from a scandal, and before this journalist went to prison, he was pulled into a story of a 16 year old girl (if my memory has not failed me about the age of this girl) who disappeared without a trace.  The uncle of the girl thought that she was killed by a family member, and so he asked the journalist to do a final investigation since everyone else had gave up on finding the girl.  With the help of a super hacker known as Lisbeth Salander, the pair went on to investigate how the girl had gone missing, and the thriller began from there.  The book has a lot more going on than the film, and I definitely suggest you read the book before you watch the film, but if you can’t do that, why not do it in reverse!  I recommend the film!

Cast: Michael Nyqvist, Noomi Rapace, Sven-Bertil Taube, Peter Haber, Lena Endre, Peter Andersson, Marika Lagercrantz, Ingvar Hirdwall, Björn Granath, Ewa Fröling

Director: Niels Arden Oplev

Language: Swedish with English subtitle

For your information:  I’ve heard that Hollywood is going to remake this film!

Bloggiewood Celeb #114 – Alicia Keys Got Married, Chelsea Clinton Got Married, Dennis Rodman Got A Car Crash, Black Eyed Peas’s New Album, Tales About Angelina Jolie

Alicia Keys and Kasseem Dean (Swizz Beatz) got married.  Both are expecting a child, but it’s still too early for both of them to know the gender of the infant.  The wedding was moderate as both were privately celebrated with friends and families.  More.

Former first daughter of former President Clinton is now officially married to Marc Mezvinsky.  Wedding photos that are available for the public show both look very lovely.  Chelsea Clinton who is only 30 years of age, and she is two years younger than Marc Mezvinsky.  Marc Mezvinsky is an investment banker.  Both knew each other as teenagers, and they started to date in 2005.  More.

Angelina Jolie’s movie “Salt” failed to impress me, but the news about her psychotic behaviors such as she had hired a hitman to kill herself was impressive!  It could be a rumor, but people are talking about it!  In a new book that is written about Angelina Jolie’s life, Andrew Morton unleashes tales that Angelina Jolie may want to keep them private.  Andrew Morton at times written about how suicidal Angelina Jolie had been.  More.

Movie Review: Somers Town

Somers Town is a story about two teenagers who get to know each other by chance, and their friendships grow as they both fell in love with a much older girl.  Marek who is visiting a loving father in London, but he has a very shy personality.  Tomo is basically the opposite of Marek, and he is rampant across Somers Town for he who has no home.  Both boys have a crush on a French girl named Maria.

98% of the film is in black and white, and the 2% or so of the film is in colors.  The story of Somers Town is so simple to the point that it’s very realistic and believable.  As you watch the film in black and white for 98% of the time, the ending with colors has a significant meaning.  It may represent a dramatic change to the story as the ending comes to a closure.

The film was directed by Shane Meadows.  The casts are Thomas Turgoose, Piotr Jagiello, Elisa Lasowski, Kate Dickie, Ireneusz Czop, and Perry Benson.  Somers Town was released in 2008.

I think Somers Town is a great film, but many other people may think otherwise.  I recommend the film since I like it!  Have you watched Somers Town?  How do you rate this film?

Movie Review: Cashback

Cashback is one of those film that you think it has little to give, but it has so much to offer!  It was one of those moments that I had nothing to do, felt bored, and just wanted to pop in a movie so the time could move along faster.  I could never be so wrong when I started Cashback, and I meant it in a good way!

Cashback depicts a young man Ben Willis who has troubles with romances.  In a way, his romances aren’t any different from real people.  It’s just that he takes it to another level for what he has is his unique ability of stopping time!  With an artist perversions and failing romances, stopping time is how he knows to escape the harsh realities!  From suffering an insomnia, Ben Willis uses his waking hours to work the night shift at a local shopping center.  On the job, he fantasizes about a female coworker.

Cashback isn’t your typical romance film!  It has a perversion of an artist with a time stopping ability, quirky interactions among characters, funny moments that are memorable, and beautiful arts!  Naked women are making their appearances in many scenes of the film.  Strangely enough, the film is more realistic with the appearances of those naked women.

The film has done an amazing job at depicting frozen time, and the character Ben Willis is able to move among the frozen people!  It is all seemed pretty believable!  The very last scene is also very beautiful, and I think it’s a pretty good ending!

Cashback directed by Sean Ellis.  Starring by Shaun Evans, Sean Biggerstaff, Emilia Fox, Michelle Ryan, Stuart Goodwin, Michael Dixon, Marc Pickering, Michael Lambourne, Nick Hancock, and Keeley Hazell.  The film was released in 2006.  The film has mature contents and so it’s rated R!  It lasts about 98 minutes!

Bloggiewood Celeb #113 – Linda Hogan’s Engaged, Britney Spears Is In Love, Justin Bieber To Be Appeared On CSI, Robert Pattinson Bump A Kia, Chelsea Clinton’s Wedding Anticipations

Whenever two celebrities come together as a couple with large age disparity, it makes them stand out big time.  When a female celebrity is older than her man by at least 10 years of age, it makes them stand out even more.  What if she is older than him about 29 years of age?  Linda Hogan, 50, is engaged to Charlie Hill, 21, and Hulk Hogan is mad at the two.  Hulk Hogan is mad is probably an understatement.  Source.

Is this real or just a rumor?  Britney Spears and her body guard have a real love fever?  Anyway, from here, it is reporting that Britney and Jason Trawick had a fun dinner with Jason’s parents.  The relationship must have gone pretty well for them to go this far!  Source.

Young Justin Bieber has lot of fans in the music world, but will he become a famous actor also?  Justin will appear on CSI on September 23rd.  If Justin does well with his CSI debut, he may earn new types of fans.  Source.

Twilight’s hunk Robert Pattinson has a car crash from trying to dodge Paparazzi.  It was a minor accident that the owner of an old Kia felt a free ticket to the next Twilight film would be more than enough of a compensation for the car bump.  Source.

The wedding day for Ms. Chelsea Clinton, former U.S. President Bill Clinton‘s daughter, is apparently getting closer.  It is reported that her wedding is somewhat secretive, because even now nobody is sure where the wedding will be held.  At least the reporters think they know, because they are pissing off the people of the small town Rhinebeck as they trampled all over the residents’ properties.  Source.

OK, I don’t usually recommend any book on this blog.  Unfortunately, I don’t see that many exciting entertainment news this week, well according to me, and so I like to introduce you to a book trilogy!  What, what books?  Trust me, the story is good!  You should read “The Millennium Trilogy” by Stieg Larsson.

The first book in the trilogy is “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2005)”, the second book of the trilogy is “The Girl Who Played with Fire (2006),” and the third book of the trilogy is “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest (2007).”  I love the character known as Salander!  She is a star and fit to be rumored about!

Support the blog by buying “The Millennium Trilogy” at here, I definitely get a commission if you do :P ~.  (Sadly, author Stieg Larsson had passed away on November 9, 2004 — he is the second best-selling author in the world in 2008 according to Wikipedia.)
